At Danceworks, we believe there’s nothing quite like the magic of seeing your dancer shine on stage. Performance isn’t just about the spotlight—it’s an essential part of a well-rounded dance education, building confidence, connection, and unforgettable memories. That’s why we offer two exciting opportunities each year for dancers to showcase their hard work and growth:
Beginning with our 4-5 yrs Creative Movement classes and all ballet classes (excluding short sessions), dancers have the chance to perform in our cherished holiday tradition, The Nutcracker Tea. Held at the beautiful, historic Chautauqua Auditorium in Waxahachie, this festive event blends the timeless magic of the Nutcracker ballet with sweet treats and warm beverages. It’s a perfect, family-friendly introduction to ballet—and a tradition beloved by our dancers and community alike.
We celebrate the end of the dance season with a joyful Spring Recital, where nearly all classes (excluding short sessions and select non-recital classes) perform for family and friends. Worried about sitting through a long, drawn-out recital? Not at Danceworks! Our shows are kept to 90 minutes or less, and we provide trusted, vetted backstage care so you can relax and simply enjoy the show.

Participation in both performances is optional but highly encouraged. And don’t worry—you won’t need to sign up separately. We'll email you during the regular season with a chance to opt out if needed. Otherwise, we’ve got everything covered to ensure your dancer’s stage experience is smooth and memorable.
