Tuition is calculated based on a 36-week dance season and divided into ten equal monthly installments. This structure accounts for all scheduled breaks and holidays, as well as recital week, during which our staff continues to work with and manage dancers.
Monthly tuition charges begin August 1 and continue through May 1.
All families are required to have a valid billing method saved on file. Accounts will be automatically drafted on the 1st of each month. A $10 late fee will be applied to any unpaid balance after the 10th of the month. All credit card payments made with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover will include a 2.89% surcharge based on the transaction amount. This does not apply to debit cards or other forms of payment.
All fees are non-refundable.
To drop or withdraw from a class, an email notice must be received by our office no later than the 15th of the student’s final month in the class. If notice is received after the 15th, a $25 drop fee will be assessed.
If your account becomes more than two months past due, your child may not be permitted to return to class until the balance is paid in full.
Sibling Discount: 5% discount for multiple students in the same household
All fees will be auto-drafted on the specified due dates (excludes Performance Tickets).
$45 per family due at time of registration
$10 fee per family due on the 1st of each month
Includes:
Spring Recital participation
Studio events & themed weeks
Additional program experiences
Families enrolling after August will be charged a Program Start-Up Fee at the time of enrollment. This fee reflects the accumulated monthly program fees from the start of the season through the month of enrollment and helps cover recital participation and studio-wide program experiences already built into the season for enrolled dancers.
Families enrolling after the Spring Recital enrollment deadline (typically February 1) are not participating in recital and will not be charged the Program Start-Up Fee, but will continue to pay the regular monthly program fee moving forward.
$50 per dancer, due October 1st
Fee applies only to students and classes that participate in the Nutcracker Tea.
$75 (plus tax) per costume, due November 1st; one costume fee per class
Fee applies only to students that participate in the annual recital. For your family’s convenience, this fee will be posted on your Danceworks account in September so that you can log in to your parent portal and make smaller payments toward this fee ahead of the November due date.
We understand that ticket costs can be a consideration for families, and we want to be transparent about why we charge admission for our Nutcracker Tea and Spring Recital events.
Producing high-quality, memorable performances for our dancers and their families requires a significant investment in both time and resources. Your ticket purchase helps cover many of the essential elements that make our shows so special, including:
Theatrical venue rental to provide a beautiful, professional setting for our dancers to shine
Vetted backstage childcare, so parents can fully enjoy the performance knowing their children are safe and supported
Skilled lighting and sound technicians who create a polished, seamless experience
A keepsake video of the show, included with your ticket, so your family can enjoy the performance for years to come
A professional photographer who captures beautiful moments and offers downloadable photos for a minimal fee
Continued pay for our dedicated faculty and staff, who work tirelessly behind the scenes and onstage to ensure each dancer feels confident, prepared, and proud
We strive to keep ticket prices reasonable while still offering a high-caliber experience that honors the work of our dancers and staff. Our goal is to create events that are not only performances, but cherished memories for the entire family. Tickets for the Nutcracker Tea start at $20. Tickets for Spring Recital start at $12. Thank you for supporting your dancer and our Danceworks community by helping make these productions possible.
We updated our billing schedule to create more consistent monthly payments. In the past, skipping December led to uneven billing throughout the season. This new structure makes tuition easier to plan for and more predictable for families.
Most tuition rates remain very similar to the current season, with slight adjustments in select programs to better reflect class length, training time, and overall experience. Our goal is to keep pricing fair and consistent while continuing to invest in high-quality instruction and meaningful opportunities for our dancers.
The program fee supports studio-wide experiences and events throughout the season, including the Spring Recital, themed weeks, and other special in-studio activities. This replaces the separate recital participation fee and allows families to pay gradually instead of all at once.
No. The separate recital participation fee has been removed and is now included in the monthly program fee.
Costume fees are for the Spring Recital, which is an important part of the Danceworks experience. Costumes will be posted to your account beginning in September so you can make payments over time if you’d like.
We place costume orders in November to ensure timely arrival for in-studio portraits and recital preparations. Any remaining balance will be due in November and will be automatically drafted from the account on file at that time.
Nutcracker participation is optional and has a separate $50 fee per dancer.
Longer classes allow for more in-depth training, technique development, and individualized instruction. Pricing reflects the extended class time and increased instructional value.

*Levels are thoughtfully assigned by our teaching faculty with your dancer’s very best in mind. For students ages 9-18 years old, please consult the studio prior to registering if your dancer has not received a level assignment for the year.
At Danceworks, our goal is to help every dancer grow in skill, confidence, and character.
Unlike programs that simply move dancers up each year based on age, we place dancers thoughtfully into levels that best support their continued development.
Our teachers evaluate dancers throughout the entire season using a comprehensive progress review process.
Areas considered include:
Technical skill development
Body alignment and strength
Ability to follow instruction
Retention of choreography
Knowledge of skills appropriate to the level
Class participation and work ethic
Respect and classroom behavior
Progress throughout the year
Because dance technique takes time to build, dancers often remain in the same level for more than one season while strengthening their skills.
This approach helps dancers develop confidence, strong technique, and a lifelong love of dance.
Progress in dance is not a race.
Our goal is not to move dancers up as quickly as possible, but to ensure they develop the skills, discipline, and confidence needed for long-term success.
By placing dancers where they can thrive, we create an environment where every dancer can feel successful and continue to grow.
Dance technique develops over time. Many dancers remain in the same level for several seasons while strengthening technique and confidence.
No. Placement reflects the whole dancer, including technique, focus in class, work ethic, ability to retain choreography, and overall progress throughout the year.
Occasionally, dancers may advance mid-year if their growth indicates they are ready for the next level.
Our goal is to place dancers where they will experience the greatest success and long-term growth. If you have questions, we are always happy to discuss your dancer’s progress.
Not at all. Many dancers grow significantly while remaining in the same level as they strengthen technique and master new skills.
