Levels 1-4

Our Dance Masters classes are in high demand because we offer a range of levels designed to meet each dancer where they are. Tailored to fit every student’s unique needs, our levels ensure the perfect balance of challenge and support.

For dancers ages 12-18, we offer Levels 1-4, carefully assigned by our professional and experienced teaching staff. When determining level placements, we consider factors such as dance experience, skill level, work ethic, and attendance. This thoughtful approach helps us provide an engaging and rewarding experience for every dancer.

If you're enrolling a dancer aged 9 or older, we recommend contacting the studio prior to registration for an appropriate level assignment. We also offer free trial classes to ensure the level is the right fit before committing. Alternatively, you can schedule a leveling session with one of our instructors in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Short Sessions for Ages 12-18 (Levels 1-4)

We know that by the time dancers reach ages 12-18, their schedules are packed and their interests are evolving. That’s why we offer flexible 8-week short-session dance classes—perfect for teens and advanced beginners who want to keep dancing without committing to a full school year.

Whether your dancer is looking to sharpen their technique, try a new style, or simply stay active in a fun and supportive environment, short sessions give them the freedom to do so on their terms. These sessions are a great way to complement other activities, explore new interests, or ease into more intensive training when they're ready. If they love the experience (and we think they will!), it’s easy to continue with additional short sessions or step into our full-season classes when the timing feels right.

Performance Companies

The Movers & Shakers Dance Company is a select group of dedicated Danceworks dancers who have a deep passion for dance, are motivated to work hard, and are committed to leadership and teamwork. If your dancer is eager for more time in the studio and loves new performance opportunities, this program is the perfect fit! MSDC members enjoy strong connections with fellow dancers through community service, performances, rehearsals, and fun activities beyond their weekly dance classes.

Elevate Dance Company is our advanced performance group for dancers ages 12-18? who are ready to take their dance journey to the next level. Designed for committed and passionate dancers, Elevate offers more performance opportunities, travel to dance conventions and workshops, and the chance to compete in one dance competition throughout the year. It’s a chance to grow as a dancer, connect with others, and experience the world of competitive dance—while maintaining a focus on balance, health, and personal growth.
